CEO

John has accumulated over 40 years in the oil industry, beginning his career as a wellsite data engineer with Geoservices in 1979. Identifying a pressing need for streamlined reporting and data analytics in the sector, he established Independent Data Services (IDS) in 1995. Under his leadership as CEO, IDS lead the industry in the adoption of groundbreaking technologies and innovative business strategies.

By 2001, IDS deployed the first cloud-native upstream reporting solution. Over the subsequent two decades, it emerged as a global leader in automated upstream field reporting and analytics for both operators and drilling contractors.

In 2021, IDS was purchased in full by a major oilfield service company. John immediately established SCS to concentrate on addressing the upstream market's persistent inefficiencies related to contract execution and payment. Through SCS, John is committed to demonstrating how blockchain technology can be combined with multiple field data sources to yield swift, targeted solutions that both cut transaction costs and boost operational performance.

General Manager

After earning his Master's in Engineering, Cameron began his career with SLB in 2011 as a field engineer in Western Canada. This role provided him with invaluable hands-on field experience and paved the way for multiple roles in the North America D&M operations management team. By 2018, Cameron had shifted his focus to the digital oilfield, leading the global deployment of SAP for SLB's Well Construction division and the development of SLB's Well Construction Data Platform offering.

Cameron joined the SCS team in 2023 as a significant shareholder. In the role of GM his primary emphasis is on leveraging upstream domain expertise to guarantee immediate value for customers. He's dedicated to delivering tailored solutions that align seamlessly with existing customer processes. The integration of cutting-edge technologies and edge data sources is driven solely by its potential to benefit the customer.

Smart Contract Solution Architect

William's career is primarily rooted in fintech. In 2017 he began working as a consultant developing and refining custom software solutions for trade settlement and international remittance. This experience has equipped him with a profound understanding of the blockchain and smart contract technology landscape.

William's passion for leveraging blockchain technologies to address real-world solutions led him to co-found SCS in 2021. Since the very beginning of the company, William has been instrumental in guiding its technical vision and strategy. His primary goal has always been to design smart contract solutions that are not just technologically sound, but also tailored to the unique needs and budget of each customer. Recognizing the intricacies of the oil and gas sector, he ensures that these solutions are built to integrate smoothly with existing processes, delivering a seamless transition and immediate value for clients.

Hailing from the heartland of Oklahoma, with a dual degree in Mechanical Engineering and Computer Science, Jim's journey in the tech world commenced at Schlumberger, where he embarked on a remarkable 19-year career journey. Starting as a Field Engineer in Arkansas, he swiftly ascended the ranks, transitioning from directional drilling to drilling engineering, and eventually finding his niche in sales.

Jim's tenure at Schlumberger wasn't just about business growth; it was about fostering lasting relationships and understanding the intricate needs of customers. He prides himself on his ability to anticipate market trends and deliver solutions that not only meet but exceed customer expectations.

His strategic vision and unwavering commitment to customer success drive the development and deployment of groundbreaking solutions like smart contracts, poised to disrupt the industry landscape.
